Urban planning
For sustainable urban development that takes health issues into account, the noise environment must be considered at different levels: territory, neighbourhood, concerted development zone or ZAC (zone d’aménagement concerté), block and building.
Acoustique & Conseil works to identify the diversity of noise situations, using metrology, modelling, surveys or interviews depending on the situation. In this context, Acoustique & Conseil has also participated in the drafting of PPBEs (Environmental Noise Prevention Plans) for many cities, including the City of Paris.
Thanks to simulation and mapping software technology, we can assess an existing and future urban situation, optimise the master plan and provide guidelines for reducing noise pollution.

Acoustique & Conseil is an active member of Atelier Ville Durable, a group of French VSEs and SMEs specialising in sustainable development issues, who have come together to exchange, pool and promote their skills in the practical implementation of sustainable, intelligent and socially responsible cities.
BIOACOUSTIC ENGINEERING
Scientists have already demonstrated the impact of noise on biodiversity, both at sea and on land. Acoustique & Conseil is helping to develop a new discipline known as bioacoustic engineering, the aim of which is to include the impact of noise on wildlife in urban and transport development studies.
